Free Contractor CRM: $0/Month, No Per-User Fees

BCTM charges $0 per month for the software. There is no subscription tier to upgrade to and no fee per user or technician. BCTM makes money only when your customer pays an invoice electronically, and that fee is stated on every page that mentions price.

What is free

Everything in the software: customer records, estimates, jobs, crew assignment, calendars, time entries, invoices, recurring invoices, reminders, customer messaging and reports. Add as many workers as you have — there is no seat count.

$0/mo permanently — you pay a per-transaction fee only when a customer pays you.

What costs money

  • Card payments: 3.9% + $0.30 (1% BCTM platform fee + 2.9% + $0.30 Stripe).
  • ACH bank payments: 1.8% (1% BCTM platform fee + 0.8% Stripe, Stripe portion capped at $5.00).
  • Cash and check: no fee — record them against the invoice.

Worked example: a $1,000 invoice paid by card carries $39.30 in fees. On each invoice you choose whether the customer pays that fee (where state and card-network surcharge rules allow it) or you absorb it. The full breakdown is on the fees page.

Why BCTM can charge $0 a month

Most contractor software charges a monthly subscription, often per user, whether or not you were paid that month. BCTM's revenue is the 1% platform fee inside the payment rate, so it only earns when you do. A slow month costs you nothing in software fees.

When free is not the right choice

If most of your revenue comes in by card on very large invoices, a flat-rate subscription with lower card rates can cost less overall — do the maths with your own numbers. ACH is usually the cheaper rail for big invoices because the Stripe portion is capped. And if you rely on a sales pipeline, live accounting sync or route optimization, a paid field-service platform may fit better; see the sourced comparisons with Jobber, Housecall Pro and others.

What BCTM does not do

  • No sales pipeline, lead scoring, or marketing email campaigns.
  • No QuickBooks or Xero sync today.
  • No route optimization or crew routing.
  • Offline mode is for drafting only; collecting a payment needs a connection.
